Children always explore what’s around them. They are the most active and cutest beings of our
life. In the need of education technology has brought in some major reforms that are now
helping in many cases. Latest tech gadgets are now making things much simpler and live than
the early development of child’s behavior, attitude and personality makes up his personality in
the later stages of life. Today with technology and these gadgets manipulating our child brain
we can easily observe changes in our younger ones.
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Council on Communications and Media (2011) in its
policy statement states “High quality interactive media can have educational benefits for
children above age two, improving social skills, language skills and even school readiness.”
These high tech gadgets are now the perfect source for interactive learning and provide
education facilities. Whether it was the Chinese counting board the abacus or an iPad today, we
humans need something which can assist us in learning new things.
Children of the 21st century are well aware of how to use a Smartphone and a tablet; this is
because they have it in their genes. This from initial stages of their lives can really help those
learning new stuffs that we learned in years.
Through technology style of teaching has changed, poetries and stories are taught by music,
video and animations. By this children use their senses on the beats of music and understand
the concept as their part of life.
With computers and interactive touch screens our children are being creative. They doodle,
paint and even record their own voices. Using a simple art page a child expresses how he feels.
It brings their ideas into reality.
It has turned into an examining tool or data processing. Teacher is able to record the events
during class and the performance of students. It increases teacher parent relationship which
makes easier to assist the performance of the child.
Technology can be the best assistor ever for our children. But parents should play a highly
proactive role in determining what amount of interaction should be allowed depending upon the
child’s hyperactivity.
